Plumbing Service Areas near Englewood, NJ

Englewood and five neighboring Bergen County towns, each with its own page.

How our service area works

Dispatch starts at 5 E Palisade Ave in Englewood, ZIP 07631, so Englewood itself gets the shortest trip. The five towns below sit within a few miles, and each has a page with its own terrain, housing and ZIP code. Use the table to find yours, then open the page for the full picture.

Each town uses a single ZIP code, so coverage is simple. Distances are rough estimates measured in straight miles, and real drive times change with the hour and the bridge traffic.

What changes from town to town

Englewood Cliffs is small and sits on top of the Palisades. Drainage there depends on the slope, and the corporate campuses in the borough add commercial plumbing to the mix of ordinary house calls.

Tenafly has steep ground. On East Hill, a sump pump or a basement drain that works fine in dry weather can be tested hard by a heavy storm, so the page for Tenafly spends time on water that comes from outside the house.

Teaneck is the largest of the five by area, and its mix of housing means the drain, water heater and pipe questions on the service pages all come up. The township is split by Route 4 and a rail line, which is worth knowing when you give directions.

Leonia is small but uneven. Its western edge is low and its eastern edge is high, so a basement on one side of town can have a very different water problem from a basement on the other. Fort Lee is the opposite kind of place, with tall buildings where one burst riser can affect many apartments.

If you live near one of these towns but not in it, such as Bergenfield, Alpine, Closter, Bogota or Hackensack, call with your address. We take calls from the wider area when a licensed plumber is available.

What to tell dispatch

When you call, give the town, the street and the nearest cross street. Dispatch uses that to line up a plumber and to tell you honestly whether a same-day appointment is available. You hear a clear price before work starts, and the plumber is licensed and insured.

Before anyone arrives, close the main water valve if water is moving, keep clear of wet outlets, and take photos for your insurer. If you are not sure whether your problem is an emergency, call anyway and let dispatch help you decide. The matching service page for your problem explains what else you can do safely while you wait.
